We
had our class assembly along with Room 12 on Friday 9th November on
the important theme of ‘Remembrance Day.’ All students put a lot of effort into
rehearsing and memorising their lines and most importantly, understanding the
solemn occasion. Here is a short video
of our assembly.
Thank
you to everyone who came along to watch our assembly. We hope you enjoyed it as
much as we did performing it for you all. A very special thank you Mrs Stanley
who worked very hard to make all the poppies we used for our display set-up on
the day.
Congratulations
to these students for receiving a merit certificate. Your hard work and
dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. Keep up the great work.
Another for Suhaila- well done on being the Values Award recipient for Room 18.
Congratulations
to Steffani on being awarded the Science Award for her fantastic Super Scientist
presentation on Steel.
It
didn’t stop there, Room 18 also took out many Literacy Pro awards for our
amazing reading. It is wonderful to see the reading that is being achieved in
our room. Well done to all our Bronze and Silver award recipients. Kaitlin achieved her Gold Certificate – a wonderful
effort! Special mention to Declan who received the Platinum Award which is an
amazing achievement (and the first in our class.) I know this was one of
Declan’s goals and it’s great to see him achieve his goal. Never stop reading!
We
also had students who were participated in the Australian Mathematics
Competition earlier this year receive certificate for their involvement. Well
done to Jai for receiving a Distinction in the competition. We are very proud
of him. Congratulations everyone and continue the
wonderful work.
We
also run a poppy stall at our assembly and raised money for the RSLWA. Thank you so much to everyone who supported
the stall and purchased a poppy. All money raised will be donated to the RSLWA.
