LITERACY PRO 

We are so happy with the Literacy Pro results of Term 1. It was wonderful to see such a committed and diligent effort from many of the children who set themselves a reading goal, and worked towards it. Well done to the five children below who had a consistent effort throughout Term 1 and over the school holidays. Usually we award one book for each term, however, this time there were so many deserving winners, so they each got a book. Keep up the excellent work!

It has been fantastic to have the children back for Term 2. Room 18 is in full swing and we have had a full week of learning. One of our main focuses for the week has been vocabulary. We are learning some new, challenging words each week and endeavouring to use these words in our spoken and written work. Here are the children, hard at work during our Big Write session. The music is on, they have candles on their tables and they're trying their hardest to convince their readers about this week's persuasive topic.
