SCIENCE

This term, the students have been learning about Biological Sciences. We have been looking at the structural, behavioural and physiological adaptations of organisms and doing a series of investigations with plants.

Our class has shown great interest in learning about plant and animal adaptations. Did you know that a polar bear has transparent fur? Many animals and plants have fascinating adaptations to assist with survival in their environment.

This week we have also completed an investigation comparing three different types of seeds: Sunflower, Portulaca and California Poppy. The students made predictions about the seed they thought would grow the quickest and completed a scientific report. Our investigations are giving great insight into what plants need to survive.

Here you can see some great examples of the work we have been doing in Science. Well done!
